  • Support Fishing communities of Tanbi wetlands and Boabolong with fishing gears and accessories

Project Objectives

Reduce Gambia's vulnerability to sea level rise and associated impacts of climate change by improving coastal defense and enhancing adaptive capacities

Project Outcomes:

  1. Policies ,Institutions and Individuals mandated to manage coastal areas strengthened to reduce the risk of climate change
  2. Vulnerability of coastal investment to climate risks reduced through the design, construction and maintenance of coastal construction; including the restoration of mangroves in degraded areas
  3. Rural livelihoods in the coastal zone enhanced and protected from the impacts of climate change through the demonstration and transfer of successful coastal adaptation technologies and the introduction of economic diversification.
